El Crimen de la Guerra by Juan Bautista Alberdi and the International Law

The article analyzes El crimen de la guerra by Juan Bautista Alberdi, work that is included in his Postume Writtings; in that book we find explained with precision and anticipation the main issues that constitutes the international law at present: United Nations, the codification of the international law, the European Union, the Principles of the International Law included in the United Nations chart and General Assembly Resolutions. Alberdi wrote more than a simple peace allegation: he stands the necessity of the existence of an international authority above the states’ sovereignty in order to avoid the war among them. Throughout his work, Alberdi appeals to morality for reviling the war, especially, to whom order and execute it, comparing it with a common crime.
