Seven (Disputable) Theses about the Future of “Transatlantic” or “Globalized” Political Science

Abstract

The article questions the hegemonic character of American political science. From the discussion of seven theses on the alleged superiority of the scientific and professional discipline in the United States, the author puts into question both their approaches and their methodological assumptions, arguing that the development of the discipline in other places, especially in Europe, will lead to more appropriate approaches to the understanding of not American reality, while the inevitable failure of the now prevailing behaviorism and rational choice.
