Abstract

The civilian-military uprising of 1995 intended not only to overthrow the government of Juan Domingo Peron but also to proscribe Peronism till it disappeared. However, some years later —in 1966— the peronists emerged again victorious from an election. The article reveals how the resounding failure of “Revolución Libertadora’s” government turned into the factor that allowed the return of Peronism to the political game, after a period of tight anti-peronism that prevented it.
