A Solitaire Game”. The Peronist Magazine Línea, the Peronism and the "Political Dialogue" during the Military Dictatorship (1980-1981)

Abstract

The goal of this article is to analize the editorial orientation of Línea magazine during the “diálogo político”, convened by the argentine military government in 1980 to negotiate with political opposition, and reedited in 1981. The “diálogo” resulted in a series of meetings between governmental officers, leaders of political parties and “prominent persons”. The magazine Línea, published from 1980, quickly emerged as an expression of the “campo nacional”, linked with peronist movement and as a strong opponent to military dictatorship. From this place, Línea made critical review of the “diálogo político” and attempted to influence the discussion process about it within the Partido Justicialista.
