Action and Responsibility in Hannah Arendt’s Thought

Abstract

I argue in favor of the mutual implication between action and responsibility in Hannah Arendt’s thought. To probe this point, first I expound the paradoxical relationship of responsibility and non-sovereign freedom. Second, I analyze the transition from action to being an agent —the so-called agency problem. Lastly, I link the basic properties of both concepts.
