Abstract

The comparative exercise between “Menemism” and “Kirchnerism” is central in analyzing the recent evolution of Argentinean democracy. In this light, this study aims to address the similarities and differences between these experiences by examining the populist relation of representation, from which Carlos Menem and Néstor Kirchner built their political support base, defining a specific style of political decision-making.
