Abstract

Starting from the simple definition of political science as a scientific look about the political reality, the article seeks to explain in a clear and precise manner its scope and content. It deepens into how should be combined in social sciences, in general, and in political science, in particular, rationality, logic and explanation with the look that inevitably arises from preconceptions and prejudices about politics and its performance. The conclusion is that political science is a very fertile ground for both theory and challenges the social and political practice.
