Abstract

Ernesto Villanueva provides an overview about university education status in Argentina. He makes a racconto of the institutions responsible for university policy outline; establishing a dualism between the role of the educator and the researcher, and the need to unify these areas in order to generate further development in universities; and analyses the laws that govern higher education and the influence of new technologies in the different ways to educate, predicting a stunning advance of distance education.
