Hermeneutics in Current Sociological Analysis

Throughout the article the author seeks to explain the historical emergence of hermeneutics in the field of contemporary epistemology and associated to the Historical Sciences. He sets the starting point in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, when the epistemological issue tried to break with the positivist tradition emerged from the paradigm of the Physical and Natural Sciences. Thus, the emergence of hermeneutics is a response to a need imposed to men by historical and cultural circumstances.
