Observations About the Concept of Ideology in Weber

Abstract

Given the thematic heterogeneity and methodological complexity of Max Weber’s work, the article proposes a series of reflections about the concept of “ideology” intending to facilitate a better understanding of his texts. It is considered one of the strategic concepts that appear across his whole work.
