Socioeconomic Aspects of Democratization. An Approach from Olson to the Problem of Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and Brazil

The democratization process that took place in Latin American regimes during the 80’s produced, among many other consequences, a complexity of collective demands. The article analyzes which has been the prevailing logic inside each of the economic and social groups that demand the distribution of state assets, in a context of economic crisis, in Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and Brazil. It also notices which have been the main consequences that this demand generated on each of these political systems.
